“The Gateway” now in the B Cubed Press Southern Truths anthology

Southern Truths is a bold look at southern culture that looks beyond pecan pie, peach cobbler and BBQ. It looks at the people and the attitudes that make up the south.  Sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, but always looking at the South as only B Cubed Press can.

In “The Gateway,” I speculate about a parallel reality in which emerging computer technology is suppressed, much to the distress of one H. Ross Perot, who aspires to build the automated and digital world we have come to know. This Whiggish America is not a utopia, but I hope you find it an engaging story, and one that shines a unique light on the fate of the American South.
